1. USER AGREEMENT
In creating an account, you agree to review the pricing (https://www.getpleats.com/services#pricing) to be charged for your use of the services.
2. USER CONTACT CONSENT
You agree that PLEATS may contact you by automated text messages, emails, and customer support phone calls with information about the services and your account. You can opt out of text messages and emails through your account portal or by contacting PLEATS.
3. DAMAGED ITEMS
We will do everything we can to avoid damaging your clothing. Unfortunately, there are limitations to what we can do. All dry cleaning and laundry processes affect the integrity of clothing. As a result, we cannot be responsible for normal wear and tear including, but not limited to, loss of buttons, fading, fatigue, holes, or abrasions. Similarly, we reserve the right to decline cleaning any piece of clothing if we think it may cause damage to the item or to our equipment. This includes items heavily soiled with urine, feces, blood, etc.
Claims must be reported to PLEATS within seven (7) days of delivery. Claims submitted more than seven (7) days after the delivery will not be considered. We attempt to check all garments and pockets carefully, but do not take responsibility for any loose items causing damage such as lipstick, pens, and lighters.

3.1 DAMAGED DRY CLEANING/LAUNDER PRESS
For any dry cleaning/launder-press items deemed damaged, PLEATS may reimburse you by either:
- crediting your account up to ten (10) times the charge for cleaning the item regardless of brand, price or condition of the garment or
- refunding your account up to six (6) times the charge for cleaning the item regardless of brand, price or condition of the garment
3.2 DAMAGED WASH & FOLD
For any wash & fold items deemed damaged, The Folde may reimburse you by either:
- crediting your account up to three (3) times the charge for cleaning the item (as determined by total flat-rate bag subtotal) regardless of brand, price or condition of the garment(s).
- refunding your account up to two (2) times the charge for cleaning the item (as determined by total flat-rate bag subtotal) regardless of brand, price or condition of the garment(s).
4. LOST ITEMS
There is an inherent risk in sending garments for cleaning. PLEATS utilizes robust technology and processes to minimize the risk of loss, but we cannot guarantee this will not occur. We track all orders from the time they are picked up to the time they are delivered back to you. We tag all your wash and fold bags and loads with your name, and that tag travels with your laundry to ensure all items are returned to you. We also apply bar-coded heat seals to all laundry-press/dry cleaning. These are linked directly to your account and dramatically reduce the risk of loss.
Any lost item must be reported within 7 days of the delivery of the garments. Claims submitted more than seven (7) days after the delivery will not be considered.
We do not take responsibility for any loose items lost when submitted in a PLEATS bag, such as watches, jewelry, Airpods, or cufflinks.

4.1 LOST DRY CLEANING/LAUNDER PRESS ITEMS

4.2 LOST WASH & FOLD ITEMS
We do not assume responsibility for lost wash & fold laundry. Because wash & fold laundry is processed by the load, and not “per item”, we simply have no way to verify that we received any particular piece of laundry in the first place.
5. DELIVERY
PLEATS allows customers to leave orders outside residences or with a doorman, provided the customer gives scheduling consent. However, once delivery has been made, we will not be held responsible for loss of or damage to any items.
